In the fall of 2014, the American Association for State and Local History honored the Pennsylvania College of Technology with an Award of Merit for their History Trail that is located throughout the campus.
Developed by employees in the College’s Information and Community Relations department, the History Trail has 17 stops throughout the campus where signage features archival and recent photos, illustrative text and fun facts about the decades of history and accomplishments. Along with the wayside markers, there is a website with trail information along with history and facts about each location.
Coordinator of Digital Publishing, Park Williams, led the small group who prepared the original proposal for the project for designing and producing the History Trail. After much research, Williams contacted Pannier for help with the project. Pannier’s Fiberglass Embedded panels were the perfect match due to their superior graphics and ability to withstand weather extremes. To display their panels, PA College of Technology chose Pannier’s cantilevered aluminum exhibit bases for easy visitor viewing.
“It has been a genuine pleasure working with Pannier,” said Williams. “They offer a high-quality product at a fair price, but more than that, their customer service and attention to detail ranks among the best I have encountered over the years. I look forward to doing more business with them!”
