Western Pennsylvania Conservancy (WPC) is a private nonprofit conservation organization founded in 1932. They have helped establish 11 state parks, conserved more than 290,000 acres of natural lands, protected or restored more than 3,000 miles of rivers and streams, and assessed thousands of wildlife species and their habitats. Pannier is proud to partner with WPC to help complete many of its signage projects across western Pennsylvania.
One of WPC’s most recent projects included the installation of Upright Exhibits and Bulletin Cases at Dutch Hill Forest in Jefferson County, PA. Dutch Hill Forest consists of 630 acres and is one of 45 nature preserves that WPC maintains. This property sits along the Clarion River, where WPC has protected over 12,276 acres of land in the region. Dutch Hills Forest consists of extensive thickets of rhododendron and mountain laurel, as well as large boulders and interesting rock formations.
WPC chose two styles of Uprights for the project at Dutch Hill. Uprights are perfect for maps, conveying safety information, or presenting essential content. Upright bases can be custom-crafted to your preferred height and orientation, either vertically or horizontally, to suit your specific needs. Similarly, our Bulletin Cases offer dependable and weather-resistant enclosure for frequently updated information. Bulletin Cases can be effortlessly wall-mounted or secured with posts, depending on your specific project requirements.
“We chose Pannier due to the durability and style of the products. We also appreciate that the products are manufactured in Pennsylvania, not far from our Pittsburgh headquarters. For many years now, we’ve purchased most of our preserve signs from Pannier – entrance signs, bulletin case kiosks, and low-profile interpretive panels. The ordering process is straightforward, and we appreciate that the designers can use our past sign orders to maintain consistency.”
