This summer, Johnson County Public Library (JCPL) ordered 20 StoryWalk Exhibit Bases for Tot Park in New Whiteland, Indiana. This is the fifth StoryWalk they have put in their community after finding great success with them.
“StoryWalks are a great way to encourage families to read and walk. The Tot Park StoryWalk has 20 stations on a path that encircles the park. Each quarter, we take a new children’s book and turn it into a StoryWalk. In addition to the page from the book, we have text that gets the kids involved in the story. We will ask questions such as “How many turtles do you see on the page?” Or, “Flap your arms like they are wings and ‘fly’ to the next station.” A StoryWalk gets kids reading and moving.
We looked at several options and the quality and fit of Pannier’s product was great. I spoke with a library in Florida who had been using Pannier’s frames for three years and was very happy with how they held up. When the order was placed, the design diagram arrived quickly, allowing the project to move forward quickly. The frames arrived before the promised delivery date. We have since purchased frames for another StoryWalk and had another great experience.”
