Mass Audubon, which cares for nearly 40,000 acres of land throughout Massachusetts, is visited annually by more than half a million people. The organization places much emphasis on their mission of “Protecting the Nature of Massachusetts” and has partnered with Pannier for well over a decade to help provide an educational and enriching experience by way of durable, exterior signage.
Over the past 15 years, Mass Audubon has worked with Pannier each year to produce half a dozen framed Fiberglass Embedded (FE) panels that are placed in 50 wildlife sanctuaries. The outdoor signage is used to welcome, orient and interpret the site for the visitors. Educational panels include information about the areas native plants, as well as why and how it’s important to help pollinators among a variety of topics. Other wayside exhibits illustrate land preservation information and details about Mass Audubon’s renewable energy program.
Lucy Gertz, Statewide Education Projects Manager at Mass Audubon said, “We have depended on Pannier’s high quality products and great customer service for over 15 years. The Fiberglass Embedded (FE) panels and outdoor bulletin cases have provided a high-quality, consistent framework for presenting our messages and information. Protecting the nature of Massachusetts can only happen if we have ways to help people connect with nature. Attractive, informational signage is an important way to advance our organizational mission.”
