On Saturday, May 3rd, employees of Pannier Graphics donated supplies and time to Light of Life Mission in downtown Pittsburgh to help remodel one of their multipurpose rooms.
The Light of Life Mission serves the poor and homeless in the Greater Pittsburgh area providing life-changing programs, meals, shelter and spiritual enrichment. Light of Life offers Women and Children’s Programs, a Men’s Residential Program and food and emergency shelter.
Pannier employees spent the day painting and building new storage shelves for the room. They also showed off their artistic abilities by creating a nine-foot by nine-foot wall mural of a tree trunk and branches. Children who utilize the services of the Light of Life Mission will get to dip their hand in green paint, and make their mark on the wall. Over time, the tree will come to life with the handprint leaves of the children.
“We really enjoyed spending the day at the Light of Life Mission,” said Pannier Graphics President Jeff Heddaeus. “One of our employees does a lot of work with them and we were happy to help him and Light of Life with the remodel of their multi-purpose room. We knew the mural would be a challenge but through the guidance of our Art Director, I think it turned out great!”
