Pannier has helped historical societies preserve and communicate their compelling stories for over four decades. In 2020, the Rev War Alliance of Burlington County worked with Pannier to create historical signs to tell the story of the American Revolution. The signage was installed in significant locations around the county and positively received by the community and beyond.
The signs were installed around Burlington County in 2021 and unveiled at the annual commemoration, where representatives from every level of politics were present for the dedication. The following year, the Alliance was approached by two local towns to design interpretive signs for their Revolutionary War sites. The Alliance got to work, and in December 2022, they unveiled five more signs in Springfield Township and Mount Holly Township. The photos featured in this article are from Mount Holly Township.
“Pannier was instrumental through the entire process, from quote to delivery, the team there has been the best. Researching a site where there isn’t much existing work can mean things move more slowly. The research on the Mount Holly signs was slower than we anticipated. Still, Pannier did a remarkable job in production and the signs arrived just in time for our dedication ceremony.” —Eric Orange, President, Burlington County Historian
Once again, the Mount Holly Revolutionary War signs received a great response and the Alliance was contacted by Main Street Mount Holly, who suggested installing interpretive signs all over town highlighting the incredible and diverse history. The signs are now in production at Pannier’s facility and will be installed later this year in the downtown shopping district of Mount Holly Township.
Pannier understands the importance of sharing knowledge of the past with present and future generations and is proud to preserve history through long-lasting, durable signage. It is always a pleasure to work with the Rev War Alliance of Burlington County, whose mission is to discover, interpret, educate, and preserve the people and stories that affected and took place in our country during the American Revolution.
