Hunt Hill Audubon Sanctuary is one of northern Wisconsin’s most diverse natural areas. At Hunt Hill, educating the public on environmental understanding and appreciation are the main missions. This is achieved through dozens of camps and classes throughout the year, but when an instructor isn’t present, Hunt Hill recognizes the importance of educational signage.
Thanks to a grant distributed by the Wisconsin DNR and managed by the Washburn County Land and Water Conservation Department, Hunt Hill was able to address a surface water runoff issue by redirecting the water to a larger rain garden and retention areas. Once the project was complete, creating educational signage became a top priority to inform the community on different systems for managing surface water runoff.
“We chose Pannier because of the quality of the signage. The process was easy and Pannier staff was always quick and polite when answering our questions.” —Nikki Janisin, Executive Director, Hunt Hill Audubon Sanctuary
With all production under one roof in southwest Pennsylvania, Pannier has complete control of your project from start to finish. This makes communication seamless through all stages of fabrication and assures consistent quality control.
To aid in their educational mission, Hunt Hill chose Pannier’s Single Pedestal exhibit base for the project. This sturdy base is designed to angle the Fiberglass Embedded panel at 30-degrees, making it approachable to visitors and easy to read. Designed for panels 24-inches or smaller, the Single Pedestal exhibit base is also available in an upright position.
“This project was accomplished through a lot of talented volunteers and we are so grateful for their help. In addition, we are proud of how this project will protect our watershed while also educating people.” —Nikki Janisin, Executive Director, Hunt Hill Audubon Sanctuary
